Igor Soudakevitch majored (originally) in solid state physics & physical chemistry at The National Univ.of Science and Technology (Russia). Worked as a researcher at a couple of R&D labs in Moscow, then at Tokyo Institute of Technology. Changed lanes to become a full-time freelance translator (subjects: space development, telecommunications, nuclear power generation, supercomputers), also worked as an interpreter for the UN; majored in linguistics at Moscow State Univ. Over 50 translated books in print + one self-published volume on the OCA Java 8 Certification. Keeps himself busy with lexicographical programming and small-scale Android apps development. Hobbies: home DIY projects, Raspi + Arduino, scuba diving. Spends two hours a day on fitness. Has a petite Japanese wife and is thinking about getting a cat, too.
